Fees

Advances in technology have given new hope to infertile couples and have improved their chances of having a baby. The costs of these treatments can vary.

The cost of intrauterine insemination combined with drug therapy can range from $600-$3000 per cycle (all inclusive) depending on medication used, laboratory studies required, and number of ultrasounds and other procedures needed.

For advanced reproductive technologies, such as in vitro fertilization, the costs can range from $8600-$12,000 (all inclusive).

During your initial consultation visit you will meet with our insurance coordinator and/or business manager to go over the details of your specific treatment costs and insurance benefits. It is recommended that you check with your insurance company before your consultation appointment to give you a better understanding of your infertility health care benefit. Our insurance coordinator or business manager can then review your benefits with you on your visit.

Payment for services is requested at the time the service is provided. MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and Pulsecard are accepted. We will help with filing charges to your insurance company for those procedures covered by your policy.

If you are in need of financial assistance for treatment, RRC offers help through CapitalOne Healthcare Finance and would be glad to guide you through the necessary paperwork. CapitalOne Healthcare Finance is a flexible monthly payment option offered through CapitalOne. It is specifically designed for infertility treatment.

Insurance

Insurance coverage varies widely for infertility treatment. If you have a choice in selecting a health care plan, review the benefits carefully to see which plan offers you the best coverage. We encourage you to review your insurance coverage by contacting your employee benefits office, contacting your insurance carrier, and/or reviewing the coverage in your plan booklet to determine the type of benefit available to you.

  • Employee benefits office – or your Human Resource Manager should be able to give you the details of whether or not infertility treatment is covered by your insurance plan.
  • Insurance carrier – Call the member services phone number on your insurance card and talk with a member services representative. Inquire as to whether infertility evaluation, intrauterine insemination, and/or in vitro fertilization procedures are covered under your current plan.
  • Benefit plan booklet – A review of your plan booklet can help determine whether or not benefits are payable under your insurance plan. Two places to check would be the "covered benefits" section and/or the "exclusion" section.

      Participating and Non-Participating Physicians
Your insurance company may provide you a list of physicians that are participating with your insurance company. These physicians are considered to be in-network. Your plan may also allow you to see a physician that is non-participating utilizing your out-of-network benefits.

It is important to remember that if your insurance plan does not cover infertility treatment such as intrauterine inseminations or in vitro fertilization, then it will not pay benefits to any provider, participating or non-participating.

Insurance coverage can be very confusing. Our staff is glad to help direct you to obtaining the answers you need about your insurance and costs of your treatment.
